GenCon Saturday

I thought the concerts last night went decently well. I certainly had more sales after the set than I had the whole day up till that point. ;) Fun, good crowd, lots of good and silly noises were made by all and sundry.

Best part of con should be today: nice, relaxing time hanging out at table; an attempt to purchase Munchin Cthulhu 2: Call of Cowthulhu; possibly getting together with [livejournal.com profile] tollers for a barbecue dinner. We haven't decided yet if it'll be classic or Mongolian.

How's your day lookin'?

I just bought the first Munchkin Cthulhu ... now I have to get the sequel ... and I haven't even opened the first one yet.

Other than that, I'm hanging out with the WSPA and playing music and watching movies, since it's going to be rainy today.

This afternoon, I'll be at a house sing here in Ann Arbor. Tomorrow afternoon there's a friends' housewarming, and if all goes well, we'll be taking Allen and family out to lunch at Zingerman's Roadhouse beforehand. So yeah, shaping up to be a good one.

And next Thursday, we leave for Stratford - six shows in three days.

Good morning!

Today I go and set up iTunes on someone's computer (it really is easier than explaining it to her), help prep all the Hatch chiles my best friend and I bought last night, and then run a session of Red Hand of Doom, in which I fully expect there will be much whining about the impending 4th edition of D&D.

I'm tempted to yank all my friends out of RPGA and go back to playing Apples to Apples. That's some good times right there.

Late lunch with friends, tweaking my recording of "Opportunity Tango" (I have to get it out before 4th edition makes it all obsolete!), and putting together a new syllabus for the music appreciation class I teach.

Enjoy the con!

Love,
Mary

Kat and I celebrated our 11th anniversary with a dinner at Saffron's, a local Persian restaurant. We had a kashke appetizer (eggplant concoction that is what babba ganoosh aspires to be)and both specials: rack of lamb (shashlik) and duck fessanjoon, with left-overs in our refrigerator. :)

Our wait staff was from the U.S., Morocco, Tunisia and Beijing, so I had the opportunity to say thank you in Farsi, Arabic, Mandarin and English.

Believe it or not, but I had never heard you sing before with the exception of opening ceremonies at Incon and I had an absolute blast at the concert. :) You were amazing.

Where was your booth? We had to leave the concert early for an event, and I couldn't find it in the hallway when we came back the next day.
