Some of you may know I'm a big fan of retired porn star Asia Carrera -- not because of the porn (although I think she's incredibly hot) but because she's a self-taught geek (builds her own computers, maintains her own web sites, does her own Photoshopping) and has a great attitude and sense of humor... and is incredibly hot.

As mentioned above, she's retired now, happily married and with a brand-new baby, Catalina. As far as I'm concerned, you can abuse the over-cuteness and pretentiousness of the name all you want... but you should check out the fourth picture on the "Me & Mommy" page, which has just the Best. Fenton The Death Sheep From Paper Maché

Mason Adams and Earl Wilson Pass Away

Sadness. Earl Wilson passed away Saturday at his home in Southfield, MI. Wilson was a pitcher with the 1968 world champion Detroit Tigers and one of the best-batting pitchers ever (35 home runs, fer gosh sakes, in only 740 at-bats). Here are his stats from baseball-almanac.com.

More sadness. Mason Adams, one of the best-known voices in radio and TV advertising ("With a name like Smuckers, it has to be good"), died yesterday at the age of 86. Here's his IMDB listing, but that doesn't cover the literally hundreds of commercials and voice-overs he did in his long, long career.
