My roommate's family (parentals, sister, brother, and their families) all live in the B'Ham area; all are safe, though things did get knocked around more than a little. We were on the phone with her dad, who was on the front porch watching the storm, when suddenly he yelped, "Okay, we're going back in now!"

We're actually going down there this weekend on a long-planned visit.
