Coming Soon To A Filk Near You

Or maybe not. Some very cool, very strange musical instruments at Odd Music.

Just bought the Homecoming-MarCon 2005 download, earlier today... you, sir, are addictive

It's already come to a filk near you--I've played my theremin at OVFF before. :)

Nifty. The Aeolian Wind Harp sounds like something out of a fantasy story - in name, description, and tone. Wow.

I just recorded a "crumphorn" (I think that's what its called.) at Philcon... It was an interesting intrument. Looks like a bent flute.

The person who was playing it was GOOD.

I love these oddball instruments. My theremin looks perfectly normal compared to things like the Pyrophone or the Gravikord, or the Incantor or Daxophone (both of which I plan to get someday), which for the life of me I can't imagine why that last isn't on this site. I've emailed 'em to correct that oversight.

And you don't even want to contemplate just how unspeakable an act I'd consider to get my hands on a Wishnevsky bass. I mean, really. You only thought I had limits. :)

It'd be cool to have a hands-on (or, in the case of the therry, *almost* hands-on :)) display of some of these at OVFF some time. Heck, I'll put Sergei up for display--anyone else have a musical oddity?
