I swear by whatever you would have me swear by, I'm not making this up. Thanks to Democratic Underground's Top 10 25 Conservative Idiots for the heads-up.

Swear by the Constitution, and/or on your honor as a gentleman. I find that if I can get through that last with a straight face, people are so surprised they'll believe me no matter what I say next. :)

Anyway, wish I could say I was surprised. This is about brainwashing, now. There's a reason The Idiot has presided over a savaging of public education: the very last thing he wants is an informed, intelligent electorate. Because the only reasons left for supporting that war criminal are: being a member of the "christian" Taliban, being an anti-Arab racist, being a homophobic bigot, being insufficiently obscenely wealthy, or being just flat out dumber than a fair minority of rocks.

It's a blatant moneygrubbing scheme designed to empty the wallets of Right-wing loonies while simultaneously getting them to mark themselves out as complete idiots.

I wish I'd thought of it first.

Doesn't this fall under the worshipping false idols commandment?

It also falls under using the Lord's name in vain.

It also fosters the false idea that "religious" and "intelligent" are opposites. But I don't suppose anyone reading this cares about that.:)

If Bush is ever ousted from his position, among the many parties suing him for punitive damages should be every single Christian church. He's set their cause back thousands of years.

I try to be an intelligent Christian, so I care.

However, a lot of intelligent people are in favor of George Bush's positions (after all, international politics are so complicated that even most intelligent people don't know what to do); therefore, an association with George Bush is not considered proof of idiocy. And a lot of liberal churches disagree with the Republican platform, so we have some distance from the Bush administration. Bush's actions are not staining American Christianity.

The Intelligent Design proponents are a much greater threat to the reputation of the church.

Not the ones who think he's spiffy. And unfortunately, there are plenty of Christian churches who fall under that category.

See, here's where I wish I had an once of visual artistic talent.

Put one of them there bushfishies on a car. Now, extend the red stripes out behind it, and have them curl off into tendrils.

Nearby, paint a shark, circling towards it.

Oops, I think I slightly altered the message. Naughty me. :)

No, someone would just paint "SECULARISM" on the side of the shark.

Give the Bushfish a shark fin and sharky jaws, and we're talking...

The moment we get a Democratic presidential candidate named, I want a sharkie with his name on it poised to gobble up the Bushfishie. Bwahaha.

But Darrel Waltrip said, "When I look at George W. Bush, our president, he is our hope."

If you missed the "20/20" special on Friday night, "State of the Union," you really should try getting your hands on it. It was terrifying.
