I don't listen to the radio much because I am so much of a geek that I usually just play music using my (GNU/Linux powered) laptop in the car. I have a car charger and a remote I can use one handed without looking, so it works better than you might expect. When I do listen to the radio, though, it's NPR all the way. There is usually something good on, and often something great.
