A few things have come up, and I'm not going to be able to attend GAFilk this weekend. Damn shame, it's an excellent con. I hope you all have fun, and nosh some chopped pork and rutabaga down the street at Barbecue Kitchen, mmkay?

I'm sad to say I almost certainly won't be there. I was planning to go, but I'm about to dial in for a conference call that is almost certainly going to involve the phrase "To make this work we're going to need all of you here on Saturday and Sunday." I will be shocked if it doesn't.

A shame. It's a fun con and it's only about a 3.5 hour drive.

I am saddened. I was really looking forward to seeing you again, now that you're ambulatory once more...not to mention hearing you. (I was singing "Operation Desert Storm" on the way to work this morning, just to get myself in the proper frame of mind for this weekend.) But thanks for the kind words about the con...and be assured that much barbecue-sauced meat will be consumed in your name.
