MORTAL KOMBAT: LEGACY Episode 1

Starring Michael Jai White and Jeri Ryan. Parents: a few F-bombs, a lot of gunplay, a few other violent moves. Only a touch of martial arts this ep. I suspect that many more elements of the game universe will be introduced over the next two eps, but starting off with Sonya, Jax, Stryker and Kano ain't bad.

I enjoyed it. I wonder if it has any connection to that other MK teaser clip we saw where Scorpion was recruited by the police to enter an underground fighting tournament of psychos with orders to kill everyone. (The one where Johnny Cage fights Barakka and looses.)

I did some research about that question, because I had the same one. From what I gathered:

The trailer we saw over the summer was an experimental 'prototype' if you will, that was designed to get funding for a feature length film. Although the feature length film has not panned out yet, it allowed them to make MK: Legacy.

I, for one, really enjoyed the episode, I hope that it continues to work out and blossoms into something awesome.
