CVS Disposable Camcorder

CVS Drugstores are now selling a $29.99 disposable digital camcorder. It holds 20 minutes of video and sound, has a 1.4" screen, and you take it to the store, where for $12.99 they transfer the contents onto a DVD.

Apart from the fact that that won't last, i.e., someone'll have that sucker hacked for USB download by the end of the month... it got me thinking. If you had twenty minutes of video that you could do anything with, what would you put on it? What's your current multimedia presentation?

Not entirely sure what I'd use it for, but given that it's only 20 minutes, I can make a broad guess at the most popular use of 20 minutes of video footage.

ONLY 20 minutes? Poor humans. Wake me when the 120 minute version comes along. [evylle grynne]

I've already....nevermind.

I'd make a full length video for "Grease Wars" shot at the 50's diner Ed Debevic's in Downtown Chicago, with the cast being comprised of the entire Ed's staff and as many fully costumed members of the Chicago Force Star Wars club as I could get to show up.

The remaining 6 and a half minutes would be my friend ShoEboX of "Worm Quartet" reading the entire script of the "Just Say No To Drugs" episode of "Diff'rent Strokes", with the part of Nancy Reagan being played by a sock.

What do you bet the stored file on the flash is encrypted so we geeks can't do anything with it even if we "borrow" a reader from CVS? That's the smart approach.

The last presentation I did was to mix down a bunch of video of GT40 races for a car enthusiast. That was in April. The next will probably be building a swingset for the kids over the next couple of weeks.

I'd tape some of my pathetic attempts at Filk so I could send them to Tom and burn his eyes out. ^_^

Failing that, I'd probably use it for highly amoral and perverted purposes. Like taping Tom in the middle of a performance so those of us who cant make it to the cons can see what he looks like. ^^

I predict a News of the Weird item in which a shoplifter accidentally documents his crime on video.
