Home Again, Home Again

InConJunction was good fun. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] per_solo, Con Chair Tony, Treasurer Drew, gopher Pieter Built, and just a gang of great folks, who were very kind and helpful to me all weekend. I appreciate it a lot. And I'm sorry I only did one song at the filk last night, but I was wasted. Between Wild Mercy, Juanita, and Moonwolf, though, it seemed to go quite well. :)

Much cleaning to do this week, as well as finishing up three count 'em three commissioned songs. And then....

What's your week looking like?

Was great to see you, but as I was going by your table to drop $15 on your latest CD on the way to spending more at the dealer's room Sunday, I saw you had already gone! Guess I'll be ordering online.

Glad to make a couple of your events, especially your making lemonade out of the lemons they gave you in the Harry Potter Filk.
Managed to make most of your concert, so I could hear stuff other than what's on the "...Talent" disc (only Tom Smith I have so far). Still it was great to hear "Talk Like a Pirate Day" (since that's my birthday, I always appreciate you -- and Dave Barry, Chumbucket, Bob&Tom, etc. -- for keeping that holiday alive) and watch the fools dance to "Illuminati Polka"

My week? I wisely took today off to recover from the con. Tomorrow I go to opening night of "Les Mis," which is on its final tour (so they say). This will make third time seeing the touring production (aside from one local youth version, zero on Broadway).

The rest of the week will be work as usual.

Sorry, but I did indicate I was gonna be leaving around 1:30 - 2:00. The Potter sing did work out, didn't it? Even though, I swear to God, I've never been confronted with a more... challenging collection of lyrics in my life. (First song was listed as being to the tune of "Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas" [they meant "... A Merry Little Christmas", I think], except it was obviously to the tune of "Holly Jolly Christmas". Some songs had lines that ended a half-dozen words before the end. Someone did a parody of the song "1985" by the group Bowling For Soup, an instantly recognizable classic. 8-/ That kinda stuff.) But we had enough people to make it fun, and we all tried like crazy, and we got a few great laughs in, and it was all good by the end.
