InConJunction was good fun. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] per_solo, Con Chair Tony, Treasurer Drew, gopher Pieter Built, and just a gang of great folks, who were very kind and helpful to me all weekend. I appreciate it a lot. And I'm sorry I only did one song at the filk last night, but I was wasted. Between Wild Mercy, Juanita, and Moonwolf, though, it seemed to go quite well. :)

Much cleaning to do this week, as well as finishing up three count 'em three commissioned songs. And then....

What's your week looking like?

Working all 5 days (6:45a-3:15p, more or less), plus Saturday (probably 6a-12n), plus on-call Monday night through Monday morning (6p-6a each night). There's a software patch release for the trading system scheduled for Friday night, and I might have a friend over for som fun Monday night but that's as yet unconfirmed.

You mean besides my 40 hours of work??

I have a meeting in Detroit on Monday, the last meeting before we leave in 12 days for the vision quest, I have to take care of one more thing with the credit union, buy food and fasting suppliments for the vision quest, buy fabric and rope for prayer flags, have people over on Friday to make the prayer flags, be at the company summer event on Saturday, go to breakfast and hopefully the A2 antiques fair on Sunday.

I think I have Tuesday night to not do much of anything this week.

*nod* It was absolutely a great time, and it was good to just get to hang out with you for a bit.

Just to let you know, Drew is the treasurer...conchair this year was Royalcrow (Tony). Everyone who mentioned you had glowing comments (and I'd assume those who didn't also had glowing comments), and generally, all seemed to be having fun. I'll have an update eventually. HOpefully tomorrow before noon.

I'm glad you've made it safely home! After your adventures on the way here, I hope the trip home was uneventful?

It was great getting to hang out w/ you this weekend... it seems we usually see each other in passing, as we both run through busy schedules, so it was wonderful to have time to just talk.

My week's looking like catching up on email and LJ (tonight), getting ahead on work (tomorrow night), WM rehearsal (Wednesday night), hosting Indy's Pagan Night Out (Thursday night) and leaving for New York City to spend a few days with my sister (Friday after work). Hmm... guess I should do laundry in there somewhere, eh?

Laundry would be good. :) Yeah, it was very nice. We should do it some more sometime. And, except for construction traffic, the trip home was damn near boring, which is exactly how I like it.

I've got a programming meeting for Philcon on Monday night.

Anything that you need me to bring up to the conchair?

Can't think of anything right this second. E-mail me later this week about what you came up with.

Will do. I don't thing Ben will be there tomorrow night (he's the filk programming main man), but I'll try going over some stuff with him online and let you know what we come up with for you!

Hot and busy.

The summer construction season is ramping up, so I'm going to be carrying more loads and working a lot of overtime. The Bay Area is having a bit of a heatwave, so my route is going to be hitting the century mark daily.

Other than that, I need to learm the world building sequence in GURPS Space (the system workseet is 12 pages long - geekage ahoy!) and do a Landgrab for the Traveller Mailing List and finally get some work done on the Concordat.

This would be much easier if we could get the computers networked so Kiri and I didn't have to share a box.

What's your week looking like?

A chaotic mess, as I try to figure out how to fit in (a) finding a professional who can look at my apparent broken water line into the house, (b) arrange to get the situation fixed so I have water again, and (c) pay for all this, around having to be at work at 8:30 every day and being expected to put in 8 hours a day, as I start my third week on the job. Oh, and still deal with the lingering crises from last week, to wit, filing an insurance claim for the stuff I had stolen on my trip, and finding out why the payroll office doesn't think my job exists yet (which I think just might get in the way of getting a paycheck that I really need to get on time at the end of the week).

Was great to see you, but as I was going by your table to drop $15 on your latest CD on the way to spending more at the dealer's room Sunday, I saw you had already gone! Guess I'll be ordering online.

Glad to make a couple of your events, especially your making lemonade out of the lemons they gave you in the Harry Potter Filk.
Managed to make most of your concert, so I could hear stuff other than what's on the "...Talent" disc (only Tom Smith I have so far). Still it was great to hear "Talk Like a Pirate Day" (since that's my birthday, I always appreciate you -- and Dave Barry, Chumbucket, Bob&Tom, etc. -- for keeping that holiday alive) and watch the fools dance to "Illuminati Polka"

My week? I wisely took today off to recover from the con. Tomorrow I go to opening night of "Les Mis," which is on its final tour (so they say). This will make third time seeing the touring production (aside from one local youth version, zero on Broadway).

The rest of the week will be work as usual.

Sorry, but I did indicate I was gonna be leaving around 1:30 - 2:00. The Potter sing did work out, didn't it? Even though, I swear to God, I've never been confronted with a more... challenging collection of lyrics in my life. (First song was listed as being to the tune of "Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas" [they meant "... A Merry Little Christmas", I think], except it was obviously to the tune of "Holly Jolly Christmas". Some songs had lines that ended a half-dozen words before the end. Someone did a parody of the song "1985" by the group Bowling For Soup, an instantly recognizable classic. 8-/ That kinda stuff.) But we had enough people to make it fun, and we all tried like crazy, and we got a few great laughs in, and it was all good by the end.

Like hammered crap, actually. Father still in hospital with staph infection, Mother who is my business partner out for the duration, and my office air conditioning out of commission. Thanks for asking.
