A Wish For Peace

I don't even begin to claim to understand the greivances on all sides -- on any sides. I know only three things:

• The issues have existed for a damn long time.
• They are not going to go away.
• There will only be peace if they want peace.

I fervently hope there will be a cease-fire soon. In the meantime, all of our friends in that part of the world: Please be careful.

My secondary concern is that the Idiot-In-Chief will try to spin this current round of unrest into an excuse to launch an American attack on Syria or Iran. And I wish I could make myself believe that that's just fearmongering and overreacting, but I can't anymore. In the interim, yes, I hope cooler and saner heads prevail, and quickly.
