A Pleasant Hump Day

Got all my errands done, finally went and saw Chicken Little (a quite solid and fun film with nothing offensive for the kids and more than enough jokes for the adults), and had a lovely North Carolina BBQ sandwich (with a side of mustard slaw, and those of you who really know me well will be flabbergasted at my mmmm-MM). And the song work is going well.

We're supposed to get 1-6" of snow tonight and tomorrow, depending on who you talk to, but I'm ready. Salt trucks permitting, I'm gonna go see King Kong for the first time Thursday.

So, how's your day going?

Mick Across The Water

Dude Love. Mankind. Cactus Jack. The Hardcore Legend.

One of the biggest surprises to all us wrestling fans was that Mick Foley, apart from being one hell of a physical performer, turned out to be a very good writer. He and a bunch of the other WWE superstars went to Afghanistan, and Mick has a report on it at WWE.com. Amazing, wrenching.

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] unclelumpy for pointing this one out.
