On DVD July 31. Go here, go to the Main Menu, and then click on the tab in the middle that says "Babylon 5: The Lost Tales" to see the preview. Or click on "The Lost Tales Movie".

Damn, it's great seeing Boxleitner as Sheridan again.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] hughcasey for the heads-up.

Me too! Hope it sells enough to get more into production.

I dunno. Without any of the recurring alien characters, it loses much of its charm. It was never about Sheridan for me, and I never took to Lochley.

One of the reasons the first volume is Human heavy is that the additional make up developement costs on top of the building sets (physical and digital) as well all the rest of the 'Start Up' costs (remember Babylon 5, the station, essentially has to be rebuilt from scratch) and effects would have been detrimental to the project. Support of this first volume will lead to more.

That sound I just heard was very likely the SpouseCreature reading your post at work and exploding from joy.

My true sadness in this is that we will never again see G'Kar or Zathros in this series, for Andreas died last February, and Tim Choate is also dead. (And I have never seen any actor as good as DIGESTING scenery (not just eating it) as Tim Choate in the role of Zathros.)

But (possible heresy) I find myself worried, because bad B5 universe stuff is possible. Let us hope that bad B5 itself is not.

Forgive me, but all I could think of when I read this was "Cleanup in Aisle 3, Bob."

Don't forget no Dr. Franklin; Richard Biggs bought the farm a year or so ago, may he rest in peace. Is it just me or did this series have a high-ish mortality rate? ::also loves G'Kar::
