I'm getting together a big honkin' podcast post, as well as a podcast resource page for TSO. I've been played a decent amount on Dementia Radio, as well as on various shows in the Podsafe Music Network. And, "An Ecclesiastes For Rose" is being played on this week's WhoCast.

Are there any particular podcasts you really like that we might not have heard about? Or, pimp your own (I'm talkin' to you, devospice). ;)

I used to enjoy http://www.brasscast.com/, which is a weekly Brass Band podcast, but I'm not currently listening to any podcasts -- heck, I usually don't bother firing up the streams for FolkAlley.com or KING.org.

I'm real dense: I didn't figure out why you named the song that until I heard them pronounce it on the podcast. :-)

As for other podcasts that play music, at least our style of music, I honestly don't know a whole lot. I know Taylor Kent plays a lot on his show The Snark Cave, and Snark Infested Waters. In fact, looking at his playlist he played you on his last show.

Beyond that, just for the shows I listen to:
The Director Podcast - although it hasn't been updated in a REALLY long time. It's the only podcast I know that deals with Adobe Director.

Ebert & Roeper - that is, I used to listen to this. Then they started charging for it or something. Whatever the case the show hasn't been updated in forever.

The J. Pitts Show - my latest discovery, a hip hop show produced in Pittsburgh. I needed to find something that played rap because I just can't stand the radio. They play some good stuff that I otherwise would probably never hear.

MacCast - for the Mac geek in me. Apple news, reviews, tips, and other good stuff.

The Mad Music Show - Wayne puts out a really good show and will probably be the defacto replacement for Dr. Demento when Barry finally retires. 2 hours of commercial free comedy music focussing on one topic with a top 3 countdown of the most requested songs at the end.

Paranormal Podcast - This one's hit or miss. The last episode on remote viewing was really good, but they've had some real out-there topics on this show, even for someone like me who's always been interested in the paranormal. It's always an interview with someone investigating or living a certain topic, usually with a book to sell.

The Radio Adventures Of Dr. Floyd - A family friendly, educational, and funny show about time travel. This show is destined to be HUGE. It may take time, but I'm firmly convinced that within 10 years you'll be seeing Dr. Floyd video games, t-shirts, toys, DVDs, bed sheets, and a live action movie starring Ben Stiller as Dr. Steve, Jason Alexander as Dr. Floyd, David Schwimmer as Dr. Grant, and a CGI Chips and Fidgert.

Scene Unseen Movie Reviews - I subscribed to this one looking for a replacement for the Ebert and Roeper one. It's not bad. 2 guys review a movie each week, one sees the movie, the other doesn't. That's the gimmick. If anyone has a better replacement for E&R, ie. one that reviews ALL the films that come out each week, I'd love to hear it.

This Week In Science - A weekly show on KDVS in California that is podcast after it's aired. I love this show. Kirsten is a hot chick with a PhD (gotta love that) and Justin is really funny. It makes for a great show. Weekly science news, a political correspondant from Washington DC with the scoop on the political science front, and often interviews with scientists. Side note: My song World Robot Domination was inspired by this show, and in fact written for this show's yearly fund-raiser CD. The voices at the beginning of the song are Kirsten and Justin.

This Week In Tech - This is probably my favorite show. Tech talk for the every-geek. :)

Variant Frequencies - A sci-fi/horror/fantasy fiction podcast that updates monthly or so and usually has some really great stories. Check out The Failed Cities Monologues in particular (and not just because I play one of the characters).
