Our Screwed-Up Economy

I'm not going to say who -- just someone as opinionated as I am in another direction, who sees a lack of leadership on the issue of the economy.
For that person, I citefour six different pages:
Second, I've been shouting for years that these people, our "leaders", are evil fucking crooks. There is a mountain of evidence. And I've been taken to task for daring to call someone "evil", anyone "evil", because it's ultimately just a difference of philosophy, and they truly do have the best interests of the country at heart, right?
No. No, they don't.
You've got thousands of people losing their homes, millions of people losing their retirements, and the government gives more of our money -- oh, how they love to say it's "your money" until they want it for themselves, "your choices" until they take them away -- the government gives more of our money to the banks and other lending institutions who have made the obscene profits rather than helping out the people who've been stung. And all they want is more more more more more. To this very minute, they keep grabbing for more money and power. And they say how much they want to help the country, even as they bleed it dry. As long as they've got theirs, and yours, and his, and hers, and everybody fucking else's, they're cool. And until they do, they will lie, cheat, steal, kill (and that's what going to war is, so don't even fucking tell me otherwise), break or suspend or circumvent every law or obstacle in their way until They Have Everything.
They. Are. Evil.
And there are smart, educated, good-hearted and well-meaning people defending them blindly. Because they fancy themselves to be philosophically on the same team. They are not. The rotten bastards at the top of this rancid pyramid scheme care nothing for ideals, principles, anything at all but themselves and their closest cronies, and would as soon stomp on my friend's fingers clawing at the ledge as breathe.
I love my friend. I don't want my friend to be ripped off, either, hoodwinked, fooled, lied to and led to believe it's part of a greater truth which is only a mask for a grand theft. But I fear that has come to pass.

- Added: Gee, the "regulators" who let the credit companies run roughshod over consumers won't let those same companies forgive any consumer debt.
