Okay, listen: Unless it's 71°, mostly sunny, and winds no more than 5 mph, I don't wanna hear about it for awhile, mmkay? I've had all the weather I can frickin' take this season, and it's not even halfway through.

You?

I'm still mildly annoyed that it was almost 70° today, here. I keep waiting for 'winter' but my section of the Shenandoah Valley seems to be immune to more than just cold dips and rain. :P

I'll take some winter, please.

Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled snowbanks yearning to drift free....

OT, but since you frequently report obits, haven't reported this one, and more folks read your blog than read mine, it is something you might want to mention.

"Oh the weather outside is frightful... no more snow! no more snow! no more snow!"

(Sorry. I've just had more than enough weather - the Pacific NorthWet just doesn't have the infrastructure to deal with that white stuff.)

I don't need it to be 71°F and sunny, I just want the grey, damp, and not-requiring-bundling-up-excessively weather we usually have.

Besides, you need to come visit eventually anyway. :)

I was enjoying the fact that it was just about 70F today (66F right now, still), but it was very windy. Considering the major weather afoot in the atmosphere, the wind makes a lot of sense.
But yeah, 20F one day, almost 70F the next. Ack.

Yesterday: Brutal driving on icy roads; temp right around freezing (so the roads just didn't get better as the day went on). Maybe a foot of snow in the yard, with plow-created snowbanks of about 3'.

Today: Pouring rain, temps in the mid-50s. Sudden ponding in the back yard. No snow left in the yard. Big pond at the end of the driveway where the snowplow mess was yesterday.

It only got up to 68F here today. I guess I can't say anything then?

The record high was 70 in 1904. And yes, it's unseasonably warm, I don't care. It was nice.

I'm having a nice vacation so far, are you?

The "unseasonably cold" weather we've been having here is laughable by Michigan standards. We've had a couple of nights in the last couple of weeks with below-freezing temps; other than that, we've been having on and off showers with highs in the low to mid 50s and lows in the mid 40s.

That's northern California for ya....

Well I left my work laptop at my parent's when I visited them so they drove up today to bring it back. They've been promising to come up for a visit and this is the first time my brother has been in my house (even though I've been here over 2 years). They didn't stay long. They were worried about the fog across Illinois and didn't want it to be dark when they drove back. I would have loved for them to stay a while, but safety first. It all worked out in the end.

This time of year, the only thing I want to know about is "will I have to deal with snowy or icy roads on either direction of my commute?" Otherwise, it is about all the same to me (since the office can't keep a constant temp, I am always adjusting all day year-round while I am there).

The other freaky thing about the San Francisco Bay area this year is that the trees still have not lost all their leaves--at least here in the east bay. This is the first time I remember Christmas lights on houses being complimented by autumn leaves in reds, oranges, and gold. Pretty cool, but WEIRD.

Agreed. We may get less snow than anywhere else in the northern half of the U.S., but that just makes it so much more troublesome when we do get it - and to have it go on and on like this...I never thought I'd say this, but...i can haz rain nao, plz?

Uber-family Xmas dinner canceled twice now, and we're just hoping like hell we'll be able to get out of our cul-de-sac tomorrow and actually go somewhere - anywhere.

I'm in Iowa, having just gotten back from the ER after breaking my hand when I slipped & fell on the skating rink that purports to be a client's drivewy and sidewalk this morning. I've been getting smug texts from the rest of my family who have been on a Caribbean cruise for a week and are now at Disney in Orlando, and did Kennedy/Cape Canaveral today. If I DO hear anymore from certain someones about how nice it is where they are I'm going to bonk them over the head with my cast.

We've had temperatures in the mid-40s for the last two days - which, combined with living in a bit of a valley, and a few feet of snow, has resulted in visibility down to half a block due to massive rolling fog banks.

There are few things as disquieting as looking out the window and wondering if your neighbourhood is slipping sideways into Arkham, Massachusetts. o.O

Yesterday in the western Chicago burbs, it was foggy, 65 deg F and raining buckets. It melted most of the snow, including the lumps the plows left at the end of the driveway.

Today, it's 24 deg F and quite windy.

An average day in La Mesa. (San Diego Area). We have been a little colder than usual for us and have gotten a lot of rain recently. (2" in December!!) Our normal for the year rain is 9". We have been in drought conditions for several years and our reservoirs are all very low, so 2" of rain is very welcome here.

I had to go out yesterday and week wack the weeds in the far back section of my yard!!
