Pick a favorite line, any line. Mine? "... She's rich."

(My really favorite line is, "The Force is with you, young Skywalker... but you are not a Jedi yet.")

The other day, I was discussing with Elaine the fact that the Star Wars trilogy is littered with highly quotable lines. The films Lucas came out with in the late 90s and 00s, don't really have any quotable lines.

I've been picking up the Star Wars Saga Edition RPG books, and noted that only 1 out of every 10 quotes is not from Episodes 4-6

Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

(I'm really a non-weapons kinda girl, but you know... Han... *sigh*...)

I was going to mention some of Palpatine's lines about power but I can't remember them. "The first fear of people with power is losing that power." or something like that.

"She's rich...."

Interesting to note that you and I have the same favorite line. I could just see young Luke growing up for a few seconds, as it dawns on him that other people may very well not be motivated by the things that motivate him. And Luke is also thinking, "Gee. I can be a manipulator and get people to do what I want them to -- but I have to appeal to their real needs, which might not be the same as mine." It struck me as very sneaky, and very impressive.

From the original trilogy:
The ability to destroy a planet is INSIGNIFICANT next to the power of the force.
From the new trilogy:
There's ALWAYS a bigger fish.
