I've done very little of consequence the past few days.

Oh, fine, I did a bunch of cleaning yesterday with the help of [livejournal.com profile] huskiebear, I got together with family for a couple of hours on Sunday, and I'm planning to actually, y'know, write and record some music soon. But honestly, I've been sitting like a lump.

I don't necessarily like that.

I feel like I should be making a lot more progress with stuff. I'm trying to break myself of some habits I've fallen into. And I'm sleeping way more than I probably should.

Oh, and DreamWidth isn't cross-posting to my account right now. Otherwise, I'd have surfaced several hours ago.

Sigh.

Still, I'm back, and I missed you. I hope all is well, or as well as can be. What's your week looking like?

Half done, and perhaps well begun. The local day of the bar exam is over--all that stands between me and completion is 200 multiple choice questions. And honestly, of the two days, I think today was harder, and I think I did well enough to pass. I guess we'll see.

Things are looking up. I finally got a lawyer to help me with my SSI appeal and there are some more forms to fill out but there's hope that I'll get it this time.

Just saw Captain America and it was great; every bit as good as I hoped it would be.

I hope your week goes well man.

Try to get some rest & do a little light house keeping. I'm beyond exhausted & just want a quiet weekend, although I'll probably see Captain America on Sunday. Hope you're well & that you were able to recharge your batteries.

Limit your internet. Now that I stay offline in the daytime, I'm actually reading again, even working on my car.......

Interesting...

I have to produce 50 more CDs for delivery later this week. (The batch of Roberta's new CD delivered to Roberta @ Contata has apparently sold out.) At least my day job is sending me in Roberta's direction. (NJ about 20 minutes from where she lives.)

Then I have to sit down and start listening to and IDing songs from some tapes from 1994. Its amazing what turns up sometimes.... (Including a song contest from October.) Its either 1994 or Confluence recordings from last weekend... (Guess which one is winning...) :)

Glad to hear that your down time was productive.

How do you embed videos? I tried several times and nothing seemed to work.

Trying to meet project deadlines in between bouts of "what did I eat last night, and why is it trying to hurt me today?" and "We need you to move out of your office and into that other one over there, within the next 3 hours, please." Also, trying to get rid of moles in my yard and get ready to drive to GenCon next week.

When you click on "Share", underneath the link will be another couple of buttons. The first one says "Embed", and will give you code something like this:
<iframe width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TXriwMQBNSQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
That's the part you cut & paste.

We missed you too. I've been settling into the new job. Did I mention about my car breaking down last week? I think so. Anyway it's been running fine since it was fixed but the new starter motor has a higher pitched start-up whine than I'm used to which worries me a little. But since it hasn't failed yet, it's not bugging me as much.

The job itself is good so far. I've already made some contributions so I think it qualifies as "hitting the ground running". It's my second real consulting job so I don't know if they have a project in mind or just help getting things done. My last consulting gig kept me busy and I really cleaned up on the projects by the time it ended.

I also got a call tonight from an old boss who wanted to talk with me about doing some work on the side. Between the car and the cat, I could use some extra money. Oh and I can't forget Musecon is next weekend.

I know what you mean by bad habits. The 8 weeks between jobs I would get up whenever and sleep whenever. Now I have to get back to a decent schedule and try not to act so f-ing tired during the day. I haven't fallen asleep yet since I've been kept busy but I have to fight fatigue all day.

One way I'm trying to get back into good habits is to make a checklist of what I want to do when I get home from work. I got most of the things done today and what wasn't done will hold for tomorrow.

Good night, must get to bed sooner.
