  • That new version of "307 Ale" I wanted to have today actually is darn near mixed, and it's perfect to go on The FuMP tomorrow, so that's where it's gonna be. Happy happy joy joy, and thanks to everybody who kicked in a vocal!
  • Also, this weekend is MarCon in Columbus, OH. I've got a spot in both the Horror Round Robin and the Listener's Choice concert, as well as my own set on Saturday, basically opening (and then playing guitar) for Seanan McGuire. Lots of good music all weekend -- Moonwulf, Juanita Coulson, Mary Bertke, Mary Crowell, many others -- at one of the most fun conventions in the Midwest.
  • And, if everything goes as planned, next week I'll have some more concerts at the main site, a general rerouting of download sales toward Bandcamp, and six more albums up at Bandcamp, including -- hang onto your hats -- digital versions of Who Let Him In Here? and Domino Death.

    Seriously.

Wow! You are going to have a good time at Marcon. I really need to make it out there one year.

For steampunk fans I found Lady Windermere’s Brass Fantabulous (http://www.zbs.org/catalog/). Normally they're $1.99 for a 10 minute episode but I went there today and they're offering the first four episodes FREE!

<dissolves in gibbering fanboy squeeings>

How did you negotiate the rights to the recordings? I know that had been the stumbling block to having them released on CD...

Simple. Bill and I talked it over, and came to an equitable arrangement, based on percentages of the price. He's got the original cassette masters for me on CD, to give to me this weekend. All good.

Not really mine, but MoonZoo (http://www.moonzoo.org/) is a place where lay people like most of us can help scientists map out the moon. Which I think is all sorts of cool. (They're also galaxy zoo, where we can do galaxies.)

The Moonzoo link gets an error message about redirection that won't complete in Firefox

Like I said last week, I'll be DJing 3 sets at the World Steam Expo this weekend at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, MI. I'll be spinning steampunk, goth, industrial, waltzes, gypsy music, dark cabaret and more.

Times and locations - 11pm on Friday in the Main Events Hall, 9pm on Saturday (charity masqerade ball with Harpnotic - $10 admission) in Panel 1 and 10:30pm on Sunday back in the Main Events Hall.

I will be broadcasting all sets on my Shoutcast as well. You can Toon in at http://s2.myradiostream.com/21168.htm

Hope to see you there...or at least listen in from wherever you are!

I allow cookies that are for the right domain. If they are for some other domain, they get blocked. That *shouldn't* be a problem.
