Dragon*Con and WorldCon

Everybody who's anybody in fandom will be in one of three places this weekend:

• ChiCon, the 70th World Science Fiction Convention in Chicago, IL;
• Dragon*Con, the largest general SF/F convention in the world, in Atlanta, GA;
• someplace much more quiet.

My only regret for this weekend is that I wanted to go to both cons. But I perform a lot at Dragon, and always get new people (i.e., those who haven't bought albums yet), so thither goest I. Hugs and love to all of you who will be at ChiCon -- I'll miss you, and I hope you have a fantastic time. Do All The Things, and listen to all the amazing concerts (including, I understand, a new operetta based on a work by Tanya Huff), and just have a blast.

If you're gonna be at Dragon, hey! Please come around to the musicians' tables (on the same floor of the Marriott as the dealers) and say Hi. There will be lots of silly, and I have concerts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. I'll have the schedule and locations up later -- some are at the Hyatt, some are at the Westin. Friday's will be a massive singalong, and Sunday's will be a tag-team with Marc Gunn!

So. Where will you be this weekend -- ChiCon, Dragon*Con, or someplace much more quiet?

Somewhere much more quiet

I will be at the International Model Rocketry (Internats) in Slovakia. Sort of a geeky form of the Olympics. I am going as a team supporter, what ever that means.

jmthane and myself tarsa will be attending City Market in KCMO with Beak n Wings (a Kansas City local exotic bird education/rescue/adoption group), showing off our lovely fosterlings and hoping that someone falls in love with them (and vice versa). So not necessarily *quiet*, but probably more so than the halls of Dragon Con. *grin* Have a great time, Tom.

Someplace much, much more quiet: home. And my dad's house, packing up stuff. And maybe a movie somewhere in there.
