Oh, man! I can't help but be proud of this. As reported at Film Threat, Saving Star Wars is gonna be shown in IMAX at Star Wars Celebration 3 (Indianapolis, April 21-24, a great weekend plan if you're not already going to PenguiCon). And, with George Lucas himself in attendence at SWC3, we'll find out the truth as to whether or not he likes SSW once and for all....

Here we go again, gang.

Last year, as you may recall, I did a little something for 24-Hour Comics Day. The result was the downloadable album Badgers and Gophers and Squirrels Oh My: The 24-Hour Project.

It's time to do it again -- but this time with a major twist: I'm gonna write a comic opera. As in, the songs will tell the story of a great (or not-so-great) superhero epic.

What I want from you is suggestions of chapter titles (no more than two each, please). And I'd like you to put on your best Stan Lee/Jack Kirby thinking caps for this one. You know the style -- "This Man, This Mugwump"; "Shocked by the Rocker"; "The Coming Of... The Cable Guy". That kinda stuff. Go check out old Fantastic Four or Spider-Man comics from the 1960s for examples. Be as silly or as serious as you like; any character suggestions must be in name only, as part of your title.

Sometime Thursday night or Friday morning, I'll look at this thread, announce that I've done so, and start writing. Barring major life emergencies, the next twenty-four hours will be devoted to songwriting.

And then I'll get arranging and recording, and we'll see if we can't get this puppy ready for the actual 24-Hour Comics Day, next Saturday.

Have at it.

Update: Okay, I started at 2:33 pm EDT on Thursday. You guys did great -- many thanks! And, as you may notice above, the title has changed. The original was just a cutesy title anyway, but I think this will work pretty well.
