One Down, Three To Go

The filk concert last night went pretty well. Nice, loud buncha folks. I've got the set this morning in the music concourse at 11:30, and the Dementia Festival tonight at 10:00. BIG IMPORTANT THING: To smooth over a scheduling problem, my Sunday night set is now at 10:00, not 9:00.

Update: No, it's not. It's back at 9:00 pm Sunday. Le sigh.

Happy Birthday, Gene Colan

Didn't catch this from yesterday, but Gene Colan, one of the best freakin' comic artists ever, turned eighty yesterday.

Do you have any favorite Colan stories? I could easily just name the entire run of Tomb of Dracula and all his incredible work on Howard the Duck, but there were those issues of Night Force and the Daredevil stuff and oh my god whenever he worked on Dr. Strange he drew the hottest fucking Clea imaginable and....

Two Down, Two To Go, And An Important Revision

The morning set had some tech difficulties, and the scheduling got a bit strange, but it was fun. BIG BIG IMPORTANT THING: The scheduling weirdness regarding tomorrow has, for now, shifted back to where it was. So, my two remaining sets at Dragon*Con this weekend are: 10:00 pm Saturday (tonight) at the Regency Ballroom, kicking off the Festival of Dementia, and 9:00 pm Sunday in the Inman Room at the Hyatt.
