Fen & Filk 35 will happen:

Saturday, March 10, 2007
Beginning at 1:00pm until ???

Glimmerglass House
1010 Barton Street
Otsego MI 49078

Fen & Filk was truly one of Dave's joys in life. We'd love to see everyone there.

Please forward this post to those that you know may be interested, but aren't on LJ.
Indications are, it'll start out as more of a memorial, and then turn into a bardic circle.

On this date in 1809.

So, what's your favorite Poe pastiche or adaptation? There's a lot to love in those old Roger Corman flicks -- I've got The Raven and The Tomb of Ligeia (that latter on a double disk with the TV production An Evening of Edgar Allen Poe -- all Vinnie all the time), and I really need to get Masque of the Red Death.

Sorry. I lost it there for a few minutes.

See, there's this indie film coming out called Black Sheep. It's about... killer sheep. And, since I wrote "The Ballad of Fenton", people have wanted to make sure that I've heard about this.

A whole lot of people.

I count thirty-eight so far.

I don't know what you all think I can or should do. It's not like I can get them for copyright infringement. It's way too late to go for a marketing tie-in. And I'd look really stupid standing out in front of the theater in a sheep costume. (No jokes about my love life, please.)

Can we please assume that I have, indeed, heard of the film, and never ever need to hear about it again? Because, at this point, it could be the new Army of Darkness or Shaun of the Dead and I'd still never want to see it.
