Going Postal
May. 15th, 2007 01:41 pmWell, I just found out I got hit about the same as Seanan by the new postage rates: First Class for a single CD (in the Uline mailer I use, 4.3 oz) went from $1.35 to $1.81.
Thankfully, the Priority Mail seems to be about the same, or at least not so different yet. So dealer shipments likely won't abuse me too badly, at least for the moment.
I have decided to not increase prices, not for now. The new price means that, for single CDs, I'll have to eat the cost of the mailer, but the bulk price is good enough that it's just not worth the trouble to worry about right now. I'll probably lose a little more money on larger orders, but we're talking a buck here, a buck there, and it's more important to keep customers, i.e., you guys, happy, and keep everything consistent.
