Home From GenCon Indy
Aug. 20th, 2007 01:03 pmAnd what a fine time it was. I unfortunately really didn't see very much of the dealers' room/exhibit hall at all, because I was busy at the table and because damn that's a big room. But the concert Friday (with the Bards and me and Rob and Luke and Carrie and Shoebox) went very well, and I met a lot of very nice people, and saw some old friends (I am so sorry I didn't make it over to the Foglios' table, but it was in another county) and sales were pretty good and I finally got to really listen to the Bards in concert and Mira Furlan is rather damn hot in jeans and I met Rupert from Survivor and I saw that gaming has evolved so far beyond what I knew when I was working in the game store above Campus Bike & Toy that it ain't even funny.
Many thanks to Jeanette, who I will be calling later this week to set up for next year, and to the rest of the staff. You were professional as all hell, and you helped in a zillion small ways, and I appreciate it a lot. Thanks also to
lukeski, who got us the gig in the first place, and to everyone we met at GenCon. You all rock hard, and I definitely want to come back.
Okay. So. I have a lot of phone calls to make this afternoon. And orders to get out. And the Relaxing Day Off I was hoping to have tomorrow may be pushed to Friday. But, damn it, I will have it.
How's your neck of the woods?
