Our buddy weatherdude at dKos informs us that a lot of central states are in the crosshairs of a nasty, volatile storm system ranging from Missouri to the Carolinas and especially targeting southern Ohio and Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and northern Mississippi and Alabama. Basically, anywhere east of the Mississippi River and south of the Ohio Turnpike is likely to see some bad, bad weather over the next twenty-four hours.

(Even the fringes are gonna be wild. Here in Ann Arbor, we're supposed to have 50° temperatures today, followed by a thunderstorm, followed by high winds, a cold snap, and snow by tomorrow morning.)

If you're in the affected areas -- and a fair number of you are -- PLEASE be careful and be safe.

The winds are kicking up around here, rattling all the windows and occasionally making the trailer shake, but still nowhere near as bad as what's happened all over the mid-South today. If you can, PLEASE SOUND OFF so we know you're all right (or if you need some help).
