I'm with the Keith. I miss the America we might have been... we nearly had the sombeech in 2004. Could've, if he hadn't bought Ohio lock stock and barrel... and I miss the fact that that four years allowed the powers that be behind the scenes to totally co-opt both sides of the aisle, starting with Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and then Barack Obama and the other 533 of the bastards...

This is why I'm very upset with the current administration. Lesson number one for a Democratic administration: Thou shalt not surrender the dialogue.

I'm just hoping that the lesson from the Oregon primary carries through: Even if Democrats are frustrated, they still vote.

To really understand George, Newt, et al, you need to read The Authoritarians by Bob Altemeyer, a professor of sociology at the University of Manitouba. Bob's book will scare the wits out of you, while teaching you some really useful things about how people like that work.
