Arr, me hearty! On Friday, I dressed as Red Judi, the Pirate Queen and had me squabs draw up some pirate treasure maps, with directions to get to an "X".

Tomorrow, Red Judi will pass out the maps to different classes, who will try to find the end destinations.

Other than playing pirate songs on Dementia Radio, I did not do anything special for the day. It was a typical Sunday for me where I just stayed inside all day (other than a run out to get lunch). I need to stop making every weekend "Act Like A Hermit Day".

We had dinner at an Irish restaurant. The waiter came up to our table and wished us a happy pirate day, and then said, "You probably don't know what I'm talking about."

I told him I not only did, but I knew the guy who wrote the official song. He expressed amazement and asked me to sing it to him. R. & M. broke into "Talk Like a Pirate Day" (I half expected them to sing "Hey, It's Can(n)on.") He was suitably impressed and apparently had already downloaded a copy of the song, although I made she he had the url for Tomsmithonline.
