Desktop booted, mouse froze. I tried to unplug and replug it. Whole computer crashed. Won't turn on. Well, okay, a couple of lights in the front are getting power. But it's not booting.

I'll deal with it tomorrow.

That bites - bad. Tuesdays I spend at the theater watching free anime. Tonight was a particularly awful example and only jalapeno poppers & Woodchuck cider made the experience livable.

Hope you have a boot CD. My friend Dave has a couple of different CD's with boot programs to see if it can read anything off the hard drive, boot into a mini-version of Windows from the CD, that sort of thing. If you don't have one, and don't have a friend who has one, I'll send you one as soon as I can get some money to pay for postage.

One time I came back from a week away, turned on my desktop compyter and it wouldn't start up, just gave me an error icon. Turned out the HD had failed and this was less than 6 months after purchase. Fortunately the tech guys who fixed it were able to save all my data and put it onto the replacement. Still sucked wind like a great wind sucking thing tho. Ever since then, every time I reboot my computer or turn it on after it's been off a while, I get nervous.

That probably didn't help any. But I hope this gets fixed for you soon!

End of third day of awful stomach/intestine bug. Flat on my back, almost delirious most of Monday from fever. Finally able to eat tonight--ate entire box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese.

Feel almost human.

Got my first writing job nibble in over a year Friday. Can't discuss it, since it's in the "wishing stages", but amazingly enough, it's *not* a book-or-story deal, but something I've never done before and have wanted to for a long time.

I got Civ5 last night and it won't run! It installs fine (including the Steam add-on) but when I run it it gives me a Windows error. There was a patch for it this morning but it seems to have made things a little worse.
