  • Tomorrow I'll be at MarsCon in Williamsburg, VA. There will be fun, hugs, music, barbecue. My first set is "Filk and Cookies" at 10 p.m. Friday.
  • [profile] naomi_de_plume will be on a panel there, just before my set, on Breaking Into Publishing. You can find out more at her blog.
  • Check out Kim Boekbender's new album, The Impossible Girl. Free to download.
  • Also free to download: stuff on a very cool site I intend to join called Jamendo. I commend you to their Top 100 list, particularly "Balrog Boogie" by the Diablo Swing Orchestra.
  • Speaking of free, today's Giveaway Of The Day is a pretty useful Windows program called Project Lasso that helps keep your system processes from slowing down your machine.
Ready... Set... Pimp Your Stuff!

Oh, me. You and Ursula Vernon at the same con? Williamsburg might never be the same.

Wish we could be there! Marscon lays a fantastic con-suite.

Enjoy MarsCon! It's quite a list of guests--and I have friends there who will certainly enjoy as well. *grin*

Me, I'll be up at Arisia in Boston.

There's Barbeque at MarsCon? :-) As a first timer I hadn't heard about anything past the Cookie Conspiracy. BTW, my contribution is peanut butter chocolate chip. I'd be willing to bring more if you want them Tom. (or another type, musician's choice.)

I've updated my very, very, extremely not-worksafe website Superboobs Online with the introduction to what I hope is a lot of stories about... well, anybody familiar with what I do knows to expect large feminine objects and very thoroughly ripped-apart clothing.

If you're into that sort of thing... hm, just google either "Superboobs Online" or "Mu Beta Epsilon", or possibly both, and you'll find the first chapter- and how to donate to get me to write any of eight or so subsequent chapters featuring different characters- and different female transformations.

Also, just got VERY lucky: those who like my company's shirts or my most popular webcomic will be able to find me at Furry Fiesta in Dallas this year after all! That's Feb. 18-20 (the weekend before President's Day) in Addison!

Not exactly my stuff, but I'm hoping people here will be interested in voting in Tor's poll of the SSF best books of the past decade:

http://www.tor.com/blogs/2011/01/best-sff-novels-of-the-decade-readers-poll

Feed by Mira Grant (Seanan McGuire) has a few votes there--I voted for it--would you like to?

It's only open for voting until 11:59 EST on Friday, Jan. 14. They are posting a once a day tab of the current votes.

Arisia and Comic A Day

From: [identity profile] shaharazad.livejournal.com
I have a new blog for posting my comic book reviews. It's called Comic A Day, and I aim to read and review at least one comic book every day in 2011. You can find it at dailycomicreview.blogspot.com (http://dailycomicreview.blogspot.com/).

I'll also be at this weekend's Arisia (http://2011.arisia.org/) convention in Boston MA. My comic company will be at table #54 in the dealers' room, and I'll be on the following panels:

* Sat 12:30pm - Challenges of Self-Publishing
* Sat 3:30pm - Comic Book Creation from Creators' Perspectives
* Sun 2:00pm - Marketing Independent Media
* Mon 11:00am - The Care and Feeding of the Young Fan
* Mon 2:00pm - Other Cons: What Else is Out There?

Stop by and say hello if you're attending the con!
