Because fluff doesn't annoy me as much as bombast -- and my era was big on bombastic songs with important moral messages -- I have to pick Canada's own Five Man Electrical Band over either Zager and Evans or Barry Sadler. Never hearing them again would remove more bad songs than either of the other options that came to mind.
