My all-time favourite trope in a work of serial fiction like this is the calling in of favours from people long forgotten as one-off characters, and the new episode pulls it off with aplomb. That said, I'm rather miffed by the cliffhanger itself.

Still undecided on the ending. It cleared up a bunch, but seemed a little bit of a letdown. It might just take a little while to sink in.

I twigged to River Song's identity somewhere mid-episode. I sat there, blinking, going, "Holy shit", but that made the big reveal a little less awesome, except that I was right.

I rarely see things coming and I think I saw it coming only a couple of minutes before the big reveal.

Definitely a better episode than Almost People was.
