I hate this.

I hate not being able to make a living at this anymore, when just a year and a half ago I was squeaking by kinda nicely.

I am bombed by bills, behind on rent, and I am out of resources. Again.

Except my friends, and the PayPal tip jar.

Once again, this should go to the special everything-I-have folder. Only I've loaded the Saturday and Monday concerts from World Steam Expo. And, by tomorrow morning, a couple more live shows, and two more albums: Ends 'n' Odds, which I haven't migrated over to the main TSO site yet, and -- can't believe it myself -- Songs Of The FuMP, Vol. 3. (Suddenly realized I had thirteen songs there, enough for an album. Hey. I'll take it.)

And I might have Sins of Commission 3 in a week or two, if things go right.

As with the last time I did this, the folder will be available for at least a few weeks, so you can take your time downloading anything you'd like. Looking for a quick gift? Need to have more of me on your iThing? Go for it.

I apologize for asking for myself again. But I just don't know what to do.

Many, many thanks.

Thing is, I just went back to LJ and I am not seeing it. That makes me wonder...

Might check to see if it is friends-locked? We're not mutual friends on LJ, so it wouldn't necessary show up on my list if it was locked to your friend list. That is, if it's flocked on LJ, I often post things here publicly that I lock there, it's automatic based on how I set up my cross-posting and journal settings.

Would that hugs were a fungible commodity. I've got lots of those.

My car ate my emergency fund for this month (and some of next month's too)

Best I can offer for now is sympathy and an ear to bend if you want it.

Good luck, Tom.

Sorry it's not more- usually I'm flush with funds from A-Kon, but this year ended up a major step back from previous years, plus I just stocked a bunch of stuff, mostly music, for WLP.

But a pittance just went into the hat from me.

Been there, done that. Recently, too. Thanks for the sympathy -- I've been meaning to call you anyway. [hugs]

And I appreciate it. [big damn manly hugs] The "major step back" thing has unfortunately become a little overly familiar over here, too.

Done. Good luck, Tom -- I like your music and I like you, and I hope that the economy will improve to the point where you are making a living again.

I just dropped a little something in the tip jar. Goodness knows it's little enough for the entertainment you've given me over the years. Good luck with the fundraising and my thoughts are with you.

P.S. you were right; Reaper is amazing. I have much learning to do but I can see this is going to make such a difference in the recording I will just deal with the fan noise.

Thanks, dear. And, really, we've got no choice -- it's either the economy improves, or we all start rehearsing our lines for Fritz Lang's Metropolis.

Thanks so much, Cat. The Reaper user guide is really good at helping you learn, and I promise the basic stuff you need to know isn't all that tricky.

I wish I could help, dear, but I'm in much the same position.

Sending hugs and also wish they could be more tangible.
