Many hugs from many friends. A little music, especially the last bit of Peter Alway's concert, which was excellent. Mike and Rennie, Gary and Sheryl, Spencer and Persis, Steven, Juliana, Merav in a phenomenal dress, especially Will and Janny, Paul, Aya, all kindsa folks. Ben Newman and I wore the same shirt. The panel on filk circles and internal politics was fun, and could've gone on another hour at least. I ended up going to bed because [a] I was tired and [b] I have a very long day today. Also, my internet is about to crap out, and I won't get it again until tomorrow. Much more then.

I'm glad another convention is doing panels on filk instead of just concerts. Don't get me wrong, concerts are great, but I noticed that as the filk community gets older there's the need to bring in new members and for that we need to teach the basics to interested people.

Was the panel about internal politics just about filk or conventions as a whole? I'm curious about the subject because of my experiences as a member of a convention staff.

I'm really tired today because my PnP RPG game last night lasted until 1:30am (we gamed at the GM's house and the games always seem to run longer there). Bad dice roles made the final combat last longer than it should. I got home at 2am, feel asleep about half an hour later. At 6:30 my youngest cat decided it would be fun to jump up on a book shelf, but to get there she had to "gracefully" jump on the whatnot where I keep some of my Transformers. This cat is neither small nor graceful and made a huge racket trying to get up there. I couldn't get back asleep and I'm going to zombie through the rest of the weekend I fear.

Managing. Some people in rooms next to ours kept opening and closing their doors and talking at normal volume. At 6AM.

At least my wife and I are sans kids and can get more sleep. She's resting next to me right now.

I should ask Merav if she needs any last minute replacements for the RHMS.
