RiffTrax is one of the only reasons I made it through watching Twilight.

Alcohol is the other.

Bless you, gentlemen.

Sans the alcohol, I feel exactly the same way about Roadhouse and The Last Airbender.

I haven't been following RiffTrax, so this was all new to me. Lots of good stuff, with my favorite being the Benny Hill theme.

Much sadness

On a movie-related note, I heard Bubba Smith (of Police Academy fame) has passed away.

Without a doubt, Batman and Robin.

Poison Ivy: "First, we must eliminate the furry and feathery pests."

Mike's voiceover: "They're gonna bomb Anthrocon?"

You forgot "The Film Crew" (all 4 episodes including a Peter Graves movie).

I haven't followed much of RiffTrax. I have some of their Shorts collections and Missile to the Moon. But I think they lost something since the MST3K days. I miss seeing the silhouettes, the skits, the breaks, the puppets, the mads, etc. Plus many of the movies they offer are either horror or commercially available movies they're riffing. I'm not interested in the former. The latter requires me to buy the movie then sync the two up. That's a problem because 1) it's a pain to get done right 2) I would rather get the extended version of a movie which can't sync up to the alternate soundtrack 3) I only buy movies I know I like and paying extra to hear people making fun of them seems wrong. I'd rather pay to hear people make fun of movies I didn't like and wouldn't buy without the comedy.

I agree with you on the skits, robots and mads. I especially miss the songs they would come up with, just doesn't seem the same without the musical interludes.

As for the movies, I tried renting then synching up a couple and could never get it right, so now I download pre-synched movies from Pirate Bay and throw money to RiffTrax.

I'd still like to see an all-musical riff to a movie someday ;-)

You might want to try their Rifftrax Player -- it isn't too bad on the sync-up. And, I did forget The Film Crew, which was a nice little experiment they did (and of which I do have all four). But, since it's Mike, Kevin and Bill, I just tend to lump it in with Rifftrax. And, hey! You can watch three of the four eps on Hulu (http://www.hulu.com/film-crew)!

Last I saw the Rifftrax player was discontinued. Maybe it was fixed since then.

You mean Pirate Bay has movie+riff at once? I would definitely throw RT money if that were true.

Hmmm I wonder how many artists/companies have a donate button. Some way to say, "Yeah, we know you can get our stuff on the internet for free. If you do, here's a way to pay us so you won't feel guilty." There needs to be more of that.

Here's RiffTrax's:

http://www.rifftrax.com/donate

I donate every time I find one of their riffs on my computer, mysteriously arriving there sometime during the night. Some say fairies deliver them while you sleep.

Weirdly enough, I LIKED Roadhouse. But... well, I have a strong love for cheese and people getting the shit beaten out of them.
