Obama in the last year has become more and more a damn disappointment. The whole "Yes We Can" mentality disappeared from his administration not long after the election. The man's just not fucking trying, not even using public outcry to back him up so as to say publicly that the GOP is the major cause of the trouble (not to mention corrupt members of his own party). Compromise with them is no compromise. I am forced to agree with Krugman. Hoover didn't cause the Depression but he got saddled with the blame for it, and while I admit I'm not clear on why he got blamed, I can honestly say Obama WILL be blamed for our troubles now, and rightly so, for simply failing to even TRY to do anything effective. Bush and company caused the current crisis, but Obama is just letting it merrily get worse.
