As a serving soldier, I'll tell you what they told us in our DADT repeal brief. It is now completely legal under UCMJ to be a homosexual, and to be so openly. Sodomy is now legal under UCMJ, however oral sex is still verboten. Yes, there is an actual AR detailing what sex acts are legal, consensual or not. Under the old rules, consensual sodomy could get you up to 3 years (I think) in jail, and a dishonorable discharge. Married same-sex couples are not officially recognized as such, but they do get a few additional rights (visitation of sick spouse, and a few others, but they do not get things like BAH).
