Sorry the main site hasn't been updated yet -- I will get something later today. But I'm getting myself ready for a quick road trip -- the premiere of Saving Star Wars is Wednesday, 6:00 pm local time, in Indianapolis at the Green Briar Cinema Grill. Be there or be elsewhere!

In the meantime, use this as an open thread.

Hey there, Georgie-Boy
Wrap yourself up in red, white and blue
Got us all in Gulf War 2
But that's also your I.Q.

Finally got the silly update. What's been delaying me has been a combination of real-world obligations, getting ready for the film premiere, and trying to work with some ancient audio on fifteen-year-old cassettes. That last will still take some clean-up work, but it should be fun.

Meantime, I've got mono streaming audio of "Rock Me Amidala" (http://www.tomsmithonline.com/software/padme_movie.m3u). :)

No, but I do know he wants to have it on DVD real soon, and I will sell it from the main site. You can also pre-order it from him -- I think it's, like, fifteen bucks that way.

This just C.R.E.E.P.s me out (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A26244-2004Jun8.html?nav=rss_politics).

And Now For Something Completely Different

The O'Franken Factor on Air America Radio (http://www.airamericaradio.com/) had a conversation yesterday with the publicity chair of the Banana Split Festival (http://www.bananasplitfestival.com/) in Wilmington, OH. Looks like lots of fun. (The web site plays loud 50's rock'n'roll music, so turn down your speakers.)

Wicked awesome cool! You did such a great job on that song... I'm glad it's getting wider exposure.

Thanks kindly. I'm back -- the premiere went really well. The movie's a touch long in spots, but the script is very strong and the acting very good, and they're obviously having such fun with it. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll prob'ly thank the guy for saying what you yourself would love to say to George Lucas.

So now we have three versions of "Padme Amidala." There's the original, "1st Mix." That's the one listed in the lyrics directory.

Then there's two versions of the newer one: The version you provided with the Special Edition of Badgers And... and the streaming one linked here differ in one line, the James Earl Jones reference.

My question is, which will be on And They Say I've Got Talent? (I'm guessing the Badgers And... version.)

Actually, it'll be the Final Movie Cut Version, which I'll complete tonight (gotta tweak one phrase that goes against Star Wars canon -- my fault, I fixed it in a hurry). Pretty much the currently streaming version.

So that makes four, three of which are minor changes from one another?

Oh, and too bad--I liked the James Earl Jones line.

I look forward to seeing it at some point! Did you get much feedback on the song, BTW?
