I like... That definately was cool.. I passed that one along to a relative who works as an animator for a computer game company. (No, I don't know which one and I think the game is not out yet.)

So Les, Tom Underwood, and I went to see Van Helsing (http://www.vanhelsing.net/) today at the cheapie theater in town. It's been getting a critical drubbing (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/VanHelsing-1132255/reviews.php).

We have no idea why.

We thought it was great. And not Batman & Robin so-bad-it's-good great. Just... great.

The script, the acting, the direction, the pacing, the design, the homages, the new interpretations of classic material, the shtick, the plot... it all worked. Really, really well.

Seriously. Give it a chance. It's a perfect Saturday matinee.

Incidentally, JMS emerged from his recent (understandable) silence today:

My apologies for the prolonged absence, but the loss of Richard Biggs kind of took the wind out of our sails and it's taken a while for me to feel up to saying anything about B5. This has also had the effect of slowing up anything to do with B5:TMoS (which as some of you have guessed or inferred does indeed stand for The Memory of Shadows), because in the writing we/I never imagined he wouldn't be here to be a part of it.

He went on to talk about the funeral, and who was there (almost everybody who worked on B5, and every cast member except three who couldn't make it).
