I remembers when I was a kid I had something like this with a cardboard field o' holes and shiny coloured wooden balls....

Handy, too

Not only cool, but think it can help me with a jewelry design problem. Trying to create crocheted beadwork in a fish scale pattern. Since the Lite Brite grid is offset like the beads, can test patterns very quickly. If I figure it out, do you think that the lady who works with you, think it was Leslie, would like one? (Even if I don't figure it out. Spiral patterns and random mixes are do-able.) She was very nice when I stupidly left the check out of the envelope the first time I ordered a CD from you.

You have the coolest links! I'll add this to my "stuff for quick kid breaks while at the computer" (My boys like to climb all over me while I'm trying to work and sometimes just taking a minute to play some online game with them or show them some cool pictures of tubas and trains etc is enough attention to buy mom more work time... ;-)

Now I wish I'd bought the lite brite set at the rummage sale darn it. I bet the kids could have used it... sigh... :-)

Too Much Free Time? Hardly...

Well, I have done more frivolous things than this on my computer when I was supposed to be working, but I am hard-pressed to think of an example right now. Voila:

And in case you need a spare LJ avatar:

I am speechless. Except, of course, to say: Thank You.

T'weren't nothin'. I've always been fond of pixel art, even in hex. By all rights I should have a sprite comic. :)

The only down side I see here is that you cannot "undo" a light, once installed. You can change it color however. On the other paw, that is not unlike the real thing in this respect; once the paper is punched, that's it, you cannot unpunch it.

Yes you can. You select black as your color.
