A little suspicious.

Update: As several people mention below, funny but apparently inaccurate. As usual, Snopes is on the case.

Funny, but apparently inaccurate

While that map is comic, it has been pointed out by natives of the state of Florida that it is inaccurate. Those are not the actual paths the eyes of the hurricanes took.

If the Republicans arent allowed to bend the truth to make a point, neither are those who oppose them :)

I'll have to pull up the NOAA reports, but the hurricane paths are wrong.

I can tell you from personal experience that Charley did NOT take the path shown there--it went right through Orange County, for one thing.

Of course Republicans are allowed to bend the truth. There are no negative consequences if they do!

As [livejournal.com profile] dbcooper has pointed out, the map's just not factual. The first copy of my comment to [livejournal.com profile] mdlbear: Creative—and wrong. Ivan's core went through Gulf Shores, Alabama. Frances went into the Gulf for a day or so, and her center went through Pasco and Hernando. Charley's center went through Orange and Volusia counties.

you know those silly little flash games where you have to smack a moving bug with a swatter?

I keep seeing God sitting in front of his 'puter, trying to swat someone on the screen "Missed! MeDammit, missed again! Hold still, would you!"

The counties are also wrong.

(I was on CNN during the protests - we were the Church of the Subgenius/Rocky Horror corner; we were also on Univision).

You mean they've repealed the Ninth Commandment? Sweet!

(That should be "Thou shalt not bear false witness", in case I've miscounted.)
