I'm on Dr. Demento again!
Sep. 26th, 2004 05:20 amThis week's edition of The Dr. Demento Show features "Talk Like A Pirate Day" in the first half-hour. Here's a list of stations that carry the Doc's show, and here's a solid list of streaming sources, and here's where to request a song. (The latter link seems to be down for the moment; I'm sure they'll hear about it. ;)
Congrats!

Date: 2004-09-27 10:51 am (UTC)I feel a strange twinge in my brain-pan
And the need to sing songs about spam
Wind up my ray-dyo, Sunday evening
Tune into the mad-music king
I hear music, comedy too
About shaving cream and a boy named “Sue”
I hear the Doctor, breath is spent-ed
Telling me to STAY DEMENTED!
I’m on Dementia Radio
I’m on Dementia Radio
Monty Python, Cheech and Chong-ah
Drinking carrot juice is wrong-ah
Whimsical Will tells me the news
No fake I.D.? I’m doomed to lose!
I’m on Dementia Radio
I’m on Dementia Radio
I wish I was in a gazebo
Eating moose-turd pie ala mode
I’d play polka on a bazuki
With Weird Al and The Great Luke Ski
I feel dementia overtake me
I need full frontal lobotomy
35 years of Dr. D
Here’s looking forward to forty!
I’m on Dementia Radio
I’m on dementia Radio
I’m on Dementia Radio
I’m on Dementia Radio
Radio… Radio…
Stay DEMENTED!

Date: 2004-09-27 12:02 pm (UTC)A) I have a singing voice that makes Harvey Fierstein sound like Andrea Boccelli
B) The only instrument I have any skill with is the didjeridu
and C) I've neither the time, resources or knowhow to set up a "mini-studio"
And wouldn't you know, I'm probably the only filker in the entire Southern Nevada area, so a joint-project is unlikely, at best.
