I want to put a cutesy quote here -- you know the one -- but I can't. It hurts.

Actor Tim Choate, best known as Zathras on Babylon 5, was killed in a motorcycle accident last week. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends, and fans.

no; there is too much happening everywhere to be fully aware of it all and interact with the world.

alas. Death is always tragic, untimely decease more so.

I must partially disagree. My father's death was not tragic. The dozen years of pain and decline he suffered before it were.

But certainly death by traffic accident is tragic, useless, and sometimes preventable with thought and caution on the part of self or others.

Thanks for the confirmation. There was a note posted on [livejournal.com profile] babylon5 yesterday, and last night, a similar note was put on The Galactic Gateway, Pat Tallman and Jeffrey Willerth's web page.

You are finite. Zathras is finite, especially when riding two-wheeler.

"Zathras have very sad life.
Probably have sad death.
But at least, there is
symmetry."

Peace be with him.

Just to update, ISN News (http://www.isnnews.net) has information about funeral arrangements for Tim:

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 11 at 11:00am until 1:30pm at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, 6712 Hollywood Blvd., between Las Palmas and McCadden Blvd., East of Highland and north of Selma and Sunset.

The family is having a private funeral, but all are welcome to the memorial service.
Information regarding a fund for Tim's son, Flynn, will be available at the memorial. Pat Tallman will pass that information on as soon as she has it.
