Our government -- our government -- is trying to legalize "extraordinary rendition".

That is, sending terrorism suspects to countries that practice torture for interrogation.
As one intelligence official described it in the Washington Post, "We don't kick the sh*t out of them. We send them to other countries so they can kick the sh*t out of them.”

I'm praying that this goes the same route as their other brilliant idea to "cancel" elections - i.e., so many people get appalled so quickly that they flip flop announce it was all a mistake.

Well, see, that's the problem with them controlling the media as well. How can people get appalled if they don't even know!?

I need it to be November 3rd. Or January 22nd. I'm exhausted by this rollercoaster (http://www.sixflags.com/parks/greatadventure/index.asp).

Our government has actually been doing this for years, if not decades.

Yes, they have. And it was wrong then. They tried to hide it. Now they want to legalize it, bring it right out in the open.

Jeezus, I coulda sworn I lived in America.

You're not the only one who's exhausted!

Since it hit the Post, I'm hoping that every news service (except Faux, unless they can put a smiley face on it) will soon be picking it up.

I see your problem. You think you live in the Armstrong-Gore timeline when in reality you live in the Armstrong-Bush timeline.

[livejournal.com profile] elfs is really hammering this today. I called my Rep, Jay Inslee, this morning and made it clear where I stand.
