I really must thank you. I have loved Suzette Haden Elgin's writing and respected her work for years, but I had no idea she had an LJ. Since you posted the link, I have been visiting her LJ regularly and feeling refreshed and enriched by the discussions. (I used to think that I must be the only possible audience for her feminist linguistic science fiction novel Native Tongue, but that was before I discovered fandom and learned there were other People Like Me. I had just narrowly escaped becoming a linguist myself.)
