Things are looking very good for me going to Confluence in Pittsburgh July 15-17. Unfortunately, their web domain has lapsed, so here (by way of Locus Online) is the pertinent information:
CONFLUENCE 2005 (Jul 15-17 '05)
Four Points by Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport, Pittsburgh PA
GoH: Tamora Pierce
Featured Filker: Escape Key
Memb: $40
Info: Confluence
Box 3681
Pittsburgh PA 15230-3681
(412) 344-0456
email: confluence@spellcaster.org
website: http://www.parsec-sff.org/confluence
Randy Hoffman also can answer questions. The big reason why you might want to see me there? The resurrection of The Tom & Pete Show, with me and Pete Grubbs.

I've also been invited back to OryCon in Portland come November. I had a grand time when I was there in 1994, and my returning has been long overdue. And there are a few others which might sneak into the schedule. I'll let you know.

So... any cons near you I should know about?

Update: ConFluence's web site is back up.

Well, is this relevant?

Next year we have Concertino out here. You might like Boskone. I don't think they have any filking at Readercon, though many filkers go. You would enjoy NEFFA, I already got you to Arisia :P Thing about Arisia is that they don't usually repeat guests of honor - a chance to showcase lots of peple, I believe is the official explanation. It doesn't matter, I've gafiated.

I found it deeply amusing that Jack got invited to Orycon. Apparently, they don't get the news out there.

I'll have to try to get to confluence. I haven't seen Pete Grubbs in a dozen years.

Well, that weekend of Confluence I'll be at ConnectiCon, which ShoeBox might be able to attend and which is still looking for some folks to fill out the 2 hour show on Saturday afternoon.

After ConnectiCon I have Otakon, hopefully to debut the Sluggy card game. That's anime, Baltimore, mid-August, huge.

After that, Dragon*Con.

After that, Ubercon IV in October in Secaucus, NJ.

Possibly Anime USA in October because it's here in NoVa and the con chair gave me sort of an invite at Katsucon. Gotta follow up.

After that, PhilCon in December in Philadelphia.

Those are the only ones on my radar the rest of this year. January will be interesting (it always is) choosing among Genericon, Arisia and MarsCon Williamsburg.

Beyond that, the usual mess.

I'm sure you're well aware of all the cons I attend or am likely to attend. But I will make my obligatory plug: We'd love to have you come to Chambanacon. And I bet you'd have fun. But I have to be honest and admit that Chambanacon is so small now that it wouldn't be a moneymaker for you.

I was going to suggest ReaderCon (http://www.readercon.org/) in the Boston, MA area in July, but I don't know if they have a filk track. I was hoping to go this year finally, but it's too close to my black belt test.

I know you already know about Archon (you really showed 'em what a Filk GOH looks like... come back and play some more, pretty please?!)

but St. Louis also has ShowMeCon (much smaller, but a good time!)
