Hell of a life, sir.

What's your favorite Tale of the Arabian Nights? I'm an old Aladdin/Ali Baba man myself.

I've always been fascinated by two stories. The Fisherman and the Djinn, and the Seven Voyages of Sindbad. But I can read Burton for hours, surfacing and wondering where the time went.

I was in the musical Kismet, which is a nice little story about a very lucky poet.

The barber's six brothers.

Also, any tale featuring three sons, the eldest two of whom are described as clever but who don't even know enough to heed the warnings of a talking camel or share their bread with a wizened little beggar they meet en route to compete for the hand of the Sultan's daughter.

I'll let you know when I finish them. I'm only up to volume 3 (I own a hardcover set of the Burton translation "A Thousand Nights and a Night" as well as the "Supplemental Nights", takes up a couple of feet of shelf)
