First and foremost: All the pre-orders, and the new orders, of The Last Hero On Earth are out the door. Those of you in the US might have got yours as early as today; you should have them no later than Tuesday. International orders will probably take about a week and a half. If you don't have yours by then, please get back to me.

I thank all of you for your patronage, and for your patience, and I apologize for the album taking as long as it did. I genuinely did expect to have it back from the duplicator in time for ConFusion in late January; as it was, it didn't get to the duplicator until almost the end of April. Just stuff upon stuff upon stuff, and then more stuff at the duplicator. Not knowing this was going to shake out the way it did, this is why I wanted to have the album done and downloadable before I took pre-orders, so that you had something to listen to. The next pressed album, I swear to Cthulhu, I'm not taking a dime for until it's at the freakin' duplicator. Period.

The house concert scheduled for North Carolina in late August has been cancelled, so that weekend's free.

And, I have chocolate chip cookies.

So, how's your evening looking?

Ahhh, happy to have waited for the CD, especially with the mp3s.

Mmmm, cookies.

Quiet evening here. Just got over the spewing sickness. Time to finish the last of the Sapphire & Steel DVDs from Netflix.

Recovering from another fantastic Doctor Who ep. And my roommate is making cookies.

It's filled with drugs (specifically, Nyquil) but is exceedingly short on sex and rock and roll. While I could theoretically change both of those, with a bit of effort, I find I'm much more interested in having my nose clear out so that I can sleep.

Pretending to be a mime at work today was, however, entertaining. As was finding out for certain that one of my coworkers is both divorced (he'd mentioned having kids, so I'd wondered) and at least somewhat interested in me. He's entertaining, but I don't know him well enough to say anything beyond that. Also, I think my friend's ex (remember, the guy we had the "catfights" over?) used mousse in his hair specifically to look good for my picnic last weekend, and this pleases me, even if I am uncertain of the level of my own interest. Yeay for mildly interesting lives. Also, I've spun just slightly more than half the yarn I'll need to knit a pair of socks. (Wow. Nyquil taking effect. I spelled that as "sox").

G'night, I hope!

Quiet, after devouring dinner (barbecue baby back ribs, side of corn on the cob, and a head of roasted garlic) and dessert (a pint of fresh blackberries).

my evening is much improved by the simple fact that i'm home from work and have my shoes off. on the downside, i've been officially told that i'm anemic and need to take iron and folic acid supplements for the forseeable future. better living through chemistry...

the new album is MUCH nifty. all the additional work you put into it is DEFINITELY worth the wait. *hugs*

Mmm, cookies... I got some ice cold milk and some Oreo cookies... Oh, and I also got those store bought packages of dough that you can bake in the oven, haven't tried this kind before. But I'm starting to get hungry!

Oh, and who's going to Duckon? You, I hope! :)

Tonight's revelries consist of good company, a silly time of Whoville-opoly, and cookie dough, done by a company called 600lb Gorillas (lightly consumed, however).

It's tomorrow that we will partake an indulgence known as a Chocolate Buffet in Boston (http://www.langhamhotels.com/langham/boston/dining/chocolate.htm#)...oh sooo much chocolate...

Tonight's entertainment consisted of vicodin, the first three episodes of Season 2 of B5, a spanktacular Dr. Who episode (I missed last week's due to camping), and last but not least doing my part to eat 6 lbs of Gummi Bears.

That last one's kind of stupid since I just had a molar pulled a couple days ago.

Gleefully awaiting the album as well! No worries here on the timeframe as I have appeased the wife by lending her the iPod with the mp3s on it. ;-)

On top of all of that my evil friends have forced me to have even less time by loaning me Season 1 of B5.

I didn't pre-order TLHOE, but I'm planning on coming home from Duck with a copy. If I can get it direct from you, that'd be peachy.

General dispair and depression while going through the job boards most of the day, then some anime (School Rumble 2) made me feel good enough to whip up some chinese pork for dinner followed with homemade vanilla almond ice cream. And just finished up a couple hours of playing World of Warcraft with my canadian friend where much pun was had by all. Now off to bed with something delightful to look forward to tomorrow (I hope)

Last night was take-out BBQ from a Corky's branch.
Lunch today will be with Sharon's godmother and HER mom, at a restaurant (Colton's Steakhouse) that her son owns and manages.
Supper will probably be much lighter.
And tomorrow after breakfast Sharon and I head toward Mississippi for her to visit with her grandparents.
After that I'm going to work Mythic Journeys with the DI and Sharon is hooking up with a carpool to go to a former roommate's wedding.

You're getting all this TMI because after we head for MS I may not be able to get online until we get BACK.

Actually, I was thinking more "Fox in Sox", or, as a second choice, Sarbanes-Oxley.

My evening is better than yesterday evening, when we found out Rich Burlew from Order of the Stick would be unable to participate in our shared booth at San Diego Comic Con. That meant about 4 hours of panicked phone calls to the other members of our venture to try and salvage what we can of it. Boy howdy, is it a major blow to the booth.

Right now I am doing t-shirt designs which should be available for pre-sale in the Sluggy store within a month. Trying to gauge how much merchandise to ship out there.

I also bailed out on ConnectiCon, due to it being such a hassle to make it there before SDCC and a general bad pre-con vibes I was getting. That was a bummer.

I am putting together press kits for my book collection to go out to newspapers. Got my contributors' copies of Attitude 3 today. Man, do they look good. For the sake of your own amusement, folks, go order your copy.

So in general, been having my difficulties lately but soldiering on. Can't believe I was considering doing ConCarolinas this weekend at the last minute. I need this weekend to work!

Tangentially... just got TLHOE in the morning mail. Squee.

My only problem is that my computer says there are 29 cuts and the liner notes only list 20. Arg. I'm slowly typing them all in...

Meh, it was 31. I hadn't gotten that far when I posted that note yesterday. I made up stuff like "What If first draft" and "Tom's scary impersonations" for the bonus tracks.
