The Apocalypse has already happened. The forces of evil came and destroyed civilization; Nero's heirs met their just reward, just as predicted. The good people were taken up to heaven as saints and martyrs, and everybody else got left behind. We had a thousand year Dark Age, a cold darkness seized the world, vikings and infidels and Huns and other bad people came to punish us. Then we got over it.
And the cycle keeps going around. Just as Lord Tammuz, born of the virgin goddess Ishtar on the day of the feast-day of Saturn, died for our sins and was reborn, the King Who Was will come again. (Praise Elvis!)
